Purpose of GPC
The purpose of our assembly is to glorify God through the joyful
worship and service of the Triune God who has revealed Himself in
the Bible. And our chief concern is the central message of the
Scriptures which is the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, our emphasis is the Gospel, the good news about Jesus.
and we see the preaching and teaching of the Word as God’s
appointed means of bringing people to Himself.
Together as one body we purpose to live out the new life we have
been given by the Spirit by seeking to adorn the gospel of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
...by Vigorous holy living
...by Loving one another
...by Faithfully preaching God’s Word, the Bible
...by Freely giving the gospel to the lost
...by Sacrificially giving to meet each other’s needs and those of our fellow man
...by Creating a safe place where all Christians can be built up in the faith and where the worn and damaged people of this world may find help, refuge and relief and
...by Personal and corporate devotion to the only Savior of sinners, Jesus Christ.

Statement of Beliefs
We accept the Scriptures as our authority in matters of faith and
practice. We hold to the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 as
an excellent expression of our understanding of the primary
teachings of the Bible. This ancient document aptly summarizes the
doctrinal positions held by the leadership of Grace Providence
Church and encompasses those truths that will be taught in this
church. We accept the 1689 Confession of Faith as assistance to us
in controversy, a confirmation in biblical doctrine, and a means of
edification in righteousness. Additionally, the members of our church
have in the 1689 Confession of Faith a compact body of Divinity and
the Scriptural proofs by which they will be ready “to give the reason
for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15).
